As an EMT, emergency responder or hospital worker, you may be subject to verbal and possibly physical abuse while operating in the field. To protect yourself from harm and maintain your mental health, this 1-day course will boost your skills, confidence and preparedness when interacting with the public, specifically distressed and unruly subjects. With live action drills and real-time scenarios, you will be trained on how to increase your situational awareness and recognize pre-incident indicators of violence as well as learning some basic physical defensive tactics. By enhancing your skills and learning new tactics, you and your team will be better prepared to react, keeping yourself and those around you safe.
